Scales of Maat: 1997 was the end of the 15 year period of Anubis (Virgo) which began in 1982, as we can see above in 1997 many significants events took place that year, this year also heralded the beginning of a new 15 year cycle of Scales of Maat (Libra) symbolic of Balance from 1997 - 2012, during this period it will be essential to restore balance to maintain harmony between two polarities, an example of this could be male - female, north - south, negative - positive, dark - light etc any conflict with polarities wether it be personal, political or global during this phase will be a sure indication or sign of the effort required to restore the balance, failing to do so will be reflected in pole shifts and great differences that will affect mankind and the enviroment. This is truly a time to align our own selves within our own center to maintain the balance, to respect the masculine and feminine energies within and without and to maintain non - judgment under any circumstances.

With Libra representing the Scales in the Egyptian Judgment Scene this period certainly reflects the time of Judgement where one's heart (conscience) will be weighed against the feather of Maat (truth and justice) and as we can not turn back the clock to make things right now we must prepare individually to forgive and let go of any harsh judgment upon others and especially ourselves, not doing so during this period can bring great Chao's upon ourselves and ultimately the World, there is no turning back for when we come to the end of this period in 2012 we will certainly know wether as a race we will find peace and gain a safe passage into the New World or bring upon ourselves Great Destruction. Looking back to the events that have ocurred since1997 to the present day it does not look too positive and if that is the case in which I hope I am wrong, we certainly need to prepare.
